Wards from TX w/ middle name Lee
| Ferae (View posts) | Posted: 5 May 1999 3:42AM GMT |
My grandfather was Robert Lee Ward
and his wife was ?Irene Chandler?.
Robert Lee Ward had a brother, name unknown.
My mother was Joyce Elaine Ward, born in 1937.
Her parents died in Texas, 6 months apart,
somewhere between the years of 1944-1948.
Her uncle was unable or unwilling to take her
in, and she was thus put up for adoption in
Dallas, Texas. She was an only child and her
surname was changed through adoption; but the
tradition of Lee as a middle name, changed to
Leigh for the feminine, and has continued in
our family. Unfortunately, my mother died at
an early age and all I know is that Lee was
the traditional middle name of the Ward's
from whom she descended, and that one or the
other or both of her parents originated from
Oklahoma, and moved to Texas. Any information
Robert Lee Ward's brother, (her uncle), and
her grandparents would be greatly appreciated.
