Classification: Query
Surnames: Ware, White, Ferguson, English, Norton
My grandfather Isham Wesley Ware was b.25 Mar 1863 in Callaway Co, KY, moved to MO, m.Mary Elizabeth English on 12 Oct 1892 in Farmington, St. Francois Co, MO, d.1 Oct 1927, and is buried in Fredericktown, Madison Co, MO.
His father was supposed to have been a "Griffin Ware," b.1823 in Raleigh, Wake Co, NC, moved to New Concord, Callaway Co, KY where he m. (about 1857) Emma Ferguson, and d.1907 (and is bur.) at Dover, Stewart Co, TN. Between 1858 and 1867 they had 5 children: Virginia, Edward, Isham W, Victoria and Christopher Columbus.
Do these names ring a bell? Would they be descended from Roland Ware, b.1760 in Brunswick Co, VA, who m. (bef.1787 In Meclenburg, NC) Temperance White and had 8 children, including an Isham b.1793 in Montgomery Co, NC. Roland d.1864 and is buried at Athens, McMinn Co, TN. Isham d.1874 (where?) Wife was Martha Norton.
Thanks for any links.
