I have been digging on Hardy WARE for sometime. These are my ideas and reasons why..
Hardy WARE was listed as a child on list of early inhabitants of Illinois in 1781. A George WAVIE (transcribed copy) is on list of MEN in Illinois 1781.. I believe this MAN to be George WARE. I find George WARE listed as having land prior to 1787. There is no George WAVIE listed as having land..
http://genealogytrails.com/ill/ILSettlers.htmlI also found George WARE listed on list of bounty money paid for service with George Rogers Clark..

PAPERS, SEPTEMBER 1780
I also saw a listing of Militia for Illinois with both George and Hardy WARE listed in same company.
I found marriage of Hardy WARE to Drucilla House in St. Clair Co, ILL 30 Jan 1798..
We know that Hardy and Drucilla were in St. Louis Co, MO before 1810 (MO census)
The 1830 census of St. Louis Co, MO shows Drucilla WARE as head of Household. Listed next to her is her son George WARE. (It is indexed on ancestry as WIRE). Her son/laws are both listed on the previous page, so they lived close.
1833 Probate of Hardy WARE is listed in St. Louis Co, MO in 1833. There is a question mark on original papers by the work "decesed". Hardy's probate is sworn to by Enoch Holcomb, husband of Anna WARE. He list the heirs of Hardy as daughters Anna Holcomb, Nancy Prewitt, and sons, George and Isaiah Ware.
I believe they declared Hardy dead because he had left Drucilla around 1820 (Give or take a few years)..
Drucilla's probate in 1844, list her heirs as George WARE of Jefferson Co,MO; Anna, wife of Enoch Holcomb of MO; , Nancy, wife of Osborne Pruitt of St. Louis Co, MO; Isaiah WARE of Louisiana and JOHN WARE (no location given).
As we find the marriage of William Weare to Naomi Williams in Arkansas Co, Ark in 1811. We can assume that John William WARE left home early.
Hardy was member of Militia in war of 1812 in MO. and son Isiah was born about 1815, we know he was still in MO at that time.
The Character certificate for Hardy WARE in Texas says he was in Texas by 1824 and that he is a widower with children.
(Mary Jane)...
I believe that Hardy WARE left Drucilla, and "took up" with another woman who was the mother of Mary Jane. The woman must have died for Hardy to bring Mary Jane to Texas. He married Sara here in Texas and had Hardy K and Katherine.
Anyone care to comment on what I have found or contribute? Still digging in ILLINOIS to find more of George WARE probable father of Hardy.
This proves Drucilla, daughter of Adam House.
