After looking through materials I have on hand and not locating a transcribed copy of Joseph's 1798 will, here's my best shot..........

February Term 1799: Joseph Warford's will was entered in Will Book D, pp. 229-231, Rowan Co., NC
* * *

Of interest: The original refers to sheap/sheep to be divided between my three children 'that are here'; said wording is *not* in the transcriptionist copy from the courthouse. Four
children are named: Samuel, Abraham, John, and Elizabeth. It seems John was not in the area at this point in time..........or is this an incorrect assumption?

By studying the handwriting on the will, it appears Worford was the spelling used by the writer. It is hard to determine from Joseph's shaking signature whether it is an 'a' or an 'o'.
