Warkentin Families

Growing up, I was part of the only Warkentin family I had ever heard of. I did not know that other Warkentin families existed.
I know that our ancestors originally came from Germany. My Grandfather, John Kroker Warkentin, was a Mennonite minister
and a practicing chiropractor. He moved all over the U.S. during his lifetime, but he resided in the small, German farming
community of Corn, OK, for many years.

I wonder if any other Warkentin families in the U.S. are related to me??

Aaron Warkentine - Corn, OK (c 1900)

My grandfather's name was Frank M. Warkentine, his father Aaron Warkentien (SP?) and mother Henena (Mackelburger) migrated with other Mennonites, from Koteniusfeld, South Russia to Oklahoma via York, County, Nebraska. Aaron died 11/1931 and was burried in Corn, OK; Helena died 4/1931 and was burried in Fairview, OK. I believe they acquired their farm in Washita or Caddo - but I can't find out where exactly. Frank and his wife Agnes (Thiessen) Warkentine had a farm in Fairview and I can't seem to find that location either. Please contact me if you can help me or maybe I can help you as well.

Warkentin from Holland

I am looking for parents of Jacob born mid 1850's.
He is my ggrandfather. I have pics, but not much info right now.
It is available to me through facts from relatives, but am having
trouble getting them to send it.
During either WW1 or WW2 our name was changed to Workentine.
So I know all those with that spelling are related.
My family all came from ND, SD, Minn., and Mont.
If any one can shed light on this, I would
appreciate help. You may contact me direct.
Joyce
jprice3d@home.com
