Mr. Wheatley,

I would suggest that Harry L. Wormack, child of Nathaniel and Rosana Wormack of Mississippi is the one buried with People's Cemetery in Tarrant County, Texas. This family lived in Nueces, TX in 1900. Tarrant, Texas which wasn't too far away. Harry L Wormack's date of birth matches the date of birth on the grave stone and the usual custom was for those of that day, as it is in this one as well, to use the 'name' that suited them; which often times was either their middle name or nickname...so how appropriate would it have been to have been for Harry L. Wormack to have used his middle name????

1900 United States Federal Census > Texas > Nueces > Justice Precinct 1 > District 129

Nathaniel Wormack age 50 b. Aug 1849 Mississippi married 30 yrs to wife father b. Georgia mother b.Mississippi
Rosana wife age 45 b. June 1854 Arkansas father b. virginia mother b. Mississippi
had 14 children, 11 living in 1900

Children
William J. age 17 b. Aug 1872 Texas
Wright E. age 16 b. Mar 1884 Texas
Laura age 12 b. Aug 1887 Texas
**Harry L. age 10 b. Mar 1890 Texas
Bessie L. age 7 b. Sep 1892 Texas
Catherine B. age 5 b. Apr 1895 Texas

- (Harry) Lenox Wormack d. May 18, 1944 in Tarant, TX buried in People's Cemeteries.

Am looking for my family whose name was orginally spelled Wormack. When my ggrandfather took his family from TN to California, that's where the spelling took place. I have also found finally, a connection with those early Wormacks who went into Georgia...Mississippi isn't too far away from Georgia.

Rhonda Warmack Houston
(rfhouston@mindspring.com)

Ada,
All that I have is:

William Seignoir Jr. Warmack b. 05 Aug 1806 and it was only yesterday that I found some conveniencing information, yet not documented, that this birth event took place in Warren, Kentucky.

And YES, you are correct, William Jr. lived in Humphrey County, Tennessee early on and to my surprise I did find evidence (although not documented) that he had married for the first time in 1829 either in Rutherford or Davidson County, Tennessee. I found out her name had been Patsy (Polly) Wright b. 1823 Bedford, Virginia...this birth date found has to be incorrect, because her marriage to William, son of William Warmack Sr and Milicent Martin Winchester Warmack couldn't have been when she was 6 yrs. old. Patsy's death date was given as 1850 in Henry, Tennesse.

I had no idea of any children because I could find no information for this...WHAT A WONDERFUL SURPRISE!! THANK YOU FOR YOU POSTED INFORMATION. Just know that YOU WILL HAVE SURPRISED THREE OTHER WARMACK descendents with this information when I tell them about this great information, who have been working on this line as well...when I found out about Patsy being William Jr's wife, these three individuals were blown away from their chairs sitting at their computers, wait until I get to share with them that William and Patsy had children that no one has ever heard about....!!! Perhaps, because William's name was spelled with an 'h' at the end, this information had been overlooked!! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful information.

Rhonda Warmack Houston

At one time he lived in Lake City, Florida, where he may have been employed by the railroad. He married Alicia Theo Kelly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going through drawers and boxes trying to find my Warmack information. I'll send it to you as soon as I find it.
It is too bad that we don't all know who all of our ancestors are. It is really exciting to find who some of them are. Have you tried searching the Mormon Church website? They have the most extensive ancestry records in the world. I have found several of my family members there. I think you can so to www.lds.org and access the records.

It was nice to hear back from you. I'll let you know as soon as I find my Warmack info.

Have a great day,
Diane

Please give me a day or two and I will get what info I have to you. I know off-hand that my great grandfather was Richard Robert Warmack. My grandmother was Harriett Warmack. I know that somewhere back there is a William Seignor Warmack. I'm not sure if he is my gggrandfather or ggggrandfather. I'll look at my info and let you know. The name Robert Grady Warmack looks a little familiar to me, but I'm not sure if he is in my info or not.

I hope to hear from you again,
Diane

I do have information on Frank Warmack. WOULD LIKE VERY MUCH TO FIND OUT HOW we are related. Have emailed young Tempee over in Germany a couple of times. I have found some of your Greer information via the LDS. I would so like to find out which branch of my Warmack(s) are connected with YOURS. My branch left TN MO in 1883, for California and Washington. Another branch that moved from TN MO to TX around the same time, have traced to both Oregon and Washington, where they remain today, living close to my immediate branch unaware either are there. My ggrandfather was the youngest son of William Seignor Warmack (VA)and Millicent Martin Winchester Warmack (NC). Rhonda Warmack Houston

Hi Diane:
Thanks for getting back to me so soon. This is mind boggleing to me. My husband doesn't know one of his realtives besides his siblings. Isn't that a shame. I know his Warmack bunch, Robert Grady Warmack, his dad lived in Cleburne country in Ala for a time and moved back and forth to Ga before finally settling in Fl. Some seem to think that Robert Grady Warmack's father was Jesse P Warmack but thats all I know. Suppolsedly Robert G had a brother he called Blondie and one supposedly called Judd. I can't seem to find a thing out. I will keep on tho as I know hubby has to have cousins out there. Would be wonderful to find some.
We are In Omaha Ne. I married Reuben 1 1/2 years ago at age 65 and lived in Texas for a time. Hated it there so he moved back to my home state with me. I would appreciate any info you can give me. Have a great day Dian>

Phyllis Warmack

Robert Grady Warmack was the son of Jesse and Emma Warmack. He had 2 brothers called Judd and Blondie (evidently nicknames0. He also had a couple of sisters, One Mattie Warmack who married a Smiley and also A Lula who married a Dill. If you by chance run into these names, please let me know.
Hi Rhonda:

None of those names are familiar, however, I am really new to this. In the past couple of months since I started the search, I have learned a few things. We are sure I have found one of our relatives in Piedmont Al. I have talked to them and they are sure as well. A member of the family is sending me some info. Some of the names are the same. I think this fellow's great grandfather was a brother to my hubby's grandpa. It is sure interesting. Where does your lineage come from? Tammy Warmack really doen't know much. My hubby said she didn't get the infro from him as he darn well knows most of the dates and family members. Thanks so much for your help. Oh, and how do you get the info that you sent me. I don;'t know hoe to do that.

Phyllis
