just an added note to the previous entry. John Warman who married Charlotte Kelly was also married to Sarah Palmer. John and Sarah had 2 children (that I have found) Maria and John. John married Harriet Pocock, which is noticed is the first post in this thread.

I have been led to believe (though not proven) to John Warman and Jane Hayes belong in my family. They had a son John 1784-1819, who married a Charlotte Kelly. They had Thomas Warman 1814-1873 who married Sarah Callaway. Among their children was Thomas 1845-1917 who married Mary (?) one of their children was Thomas Richard who married Annie Mills who among their children was Ella May who is my grandmother. I do have other information on family members from all of these families if you require them. I have sent you an invite to my tree to explore. Any info you can add would be appreciated. Warmans from Sandwich Kent

Firstly let me say I think there should have been a law against people with the same surname in the same area using the same Christian names for their offspring, or at the very least the mothers maiden name should have been included. Would have caused us all much less confusion.

Now can anyone help with this little conundrum?

A: John Warman (a currier) and Elizabeth Burgess married 17/12/1741 @ St Mary Sandwich, Kent, had (among other children)

B: Charles (a currier) b abt. 1753 who married Elizabeth Reynolds at Ash in 1778

C: William Warman (a drpaer) b abt 1752 who married Mary Marsh @ Sandwich in 1775.

B, had D. William born 1784 in St Mary, Sandwich, Kent

B. had E Charles born 1795 in St Mary, Sandwich, KEnt

C. . had F. Wm 02/01/1780 in St. Peter, Sandwich, Kent

Not sure what happened to D at this stage.

E married Elizabeth Reynolds @ Dover in 1824 and came alone to Australia in 1829. His wife followed in 1833 with 3 daughters, the rest of his family were born in NSW.

F. married Phoebe Farrier on 12/09 /1813 in Sandwich Kent

THEN there was another lot of Warmans:

G. William Warman who married Elizabeth Crickett on 06/11/1776 @ St Mary Sandwich

G. had H Charles Warman baptised 17/08 1785

H. married Sarah Doran in St Mary Sandwich on 06//07/1805

H had I. Wm John Warman b. St Peter's Sandwich in 1816.

I.. married Louisa Maria Newing.

The puzzle is do the A-F Warmans connect with the G-I Warmans and if so how. My theory atm is they are descendants of a brother or cousin to John Warman.
Can anyone help.

BTW I am told the father of John Warman md to Elizabeth Burgess is John Warman md to Ann Davenport. I have found a few references to a John Warman and a Hannah in the right time and place and wonder if she might be Ann.

Keryn I was going through my Warman paperwork today and realised I do have the names you mentioned, just not on the computer as they are not a direct link.
Mary Ann Jones married Charles Warman as Mary Ann Wise, which is why I didn't recognise the name at first.

Charles was my great great grandmother's brother.

I have an Ann Warman (or Worman) b circa 1807 Brettenham, Norfolk. She m William Newell 26 May 1829 @ St Cuthbert's, Thetford (3 children) then m John Petch 6 Sep 1846 @ Independent Chapel, Thetford (1 daughter). Ann's father (from 2nd marriage cert) was William Warman.
Does this fit with any of your info?

I am trying to trace the Warman side of my family tree. I have only gone back to Fanny Warman who was born in Sandwich Kent around 1859. She married William Henry Reynolds in Sandwich Kent in 1879. As far as I can tell they had 9 children: Florence, Clara, William, Ellen, Elizabeth, Walter, Bert, Edward and Thomas. The children were born between about 1879 and 1901.

I have Charles Warman married to Mary Ann Wise. I don't have Peat or Jones on my tree, at plummer_oz. My Warmans originally from Kent UK settled first in Mudgee then went to other places in Western NSW like Dubbo.

Maybe there is a connection somewhere.

I do not have a Ann Marie Warman on my tree. This not to say the two Warman families were not related. As Norfolk families tended to be spread out around the county. From your Ann Maria's birth place to Hethersett my link town is about 32 miles by road. I have made a note of the details and will keep a eye out for any details of Ann Maria and will pass anything on in due course.

I am doing research for the Warman and Dunn line. The information I have is for a Malinda or Verlinda Warman married to William Dunn. My records show that Verlinda died at approx. 29 years of age and that they had a daughter, named Mary Temperance.

My direct ancestors were Edmond Warman b. 16 May 1808 and Elizabeth ( Fisher ) his wife.
Edmond was detective officer in police.
They were married on 31 July 1836 at St Swithins Norwich.
Edmonds father was Edmund Warman and married to Elizabeth
Chapman.
Is this line of interest ?

Edward Baysley Warman born 1816? Folkstone Kent who married Anne Willance Lane.
This should actually be Anne Wallance Lane they married 20 October 1839 Bermondsey London.

I believe I am a decendant of a branch of the Warmans living in Somerset. I find my particular Warmans very difficult to research, however, after about 9 months of hits and misses I believe I have established some reasonably strong evidence linking me back to the Warman family living in Ilminster, Somerset in the 1820's. The Head of this family was William born between 1804 - 1807 who married Betsy. William is my 4th Great Grandfather. My 3rd great grandfather Samuel born 1829/30 Married Kezia(h) House.

Do you have any information on these Warmans?

Hi I've searched high and low on this site for info re Levi Warman and Mary Green. Found they were married at St. Michaels, on 18 Dec 1775, in Bishops Stortford, Hertford, England. Their son, Thomas b. 9 Apr 1820 married Ann. He is my gt. gt. grandad. I'm trying to find out more as all the levi warmans show connection elsewhere.

My Grandmother was Eliz Warman Clarke (b.1903 Aberdeen)
My Great Grandmother was Elizabeth Warman(b.1868 Scarboro)
Elizabeth's parents were Gardiner Warman(b.1845 Norfolk) and Rachel Carsey(b.1846 Scarboro).
Gardiner's parents were Edmund Warman(b.1809 Norwich) and Eliz Fisher(b.1814 Norwich).

hi i am looking for any info on edward warman(worman)who married ann applegate in norwich 1n 1809.they had a son edward,born just a few days after they wed.edward and ann warman were my gt gt gt gt grandparents.They lived near or in yoxford suffolk uk,and i think they died there too.the problem i am having,is to trace where edward came from and whom his parents were.so far i have no clues

Hello, I am looking for anyone with any information on a Kite family based around Folkestone, Kent, England, especially those connected with Robert Kite born abt 1769, Parents were John and Elizabeth Kite. I believe that Robert married a Susan Warnam in 1794. Their children were Elizabeth, Susan, Alice and Robert (abt 1804).

I am trying to locate Linda Haun. She was born in 1947 and married a Warman. They had two male (I believe) children.
Her parents were Gentry and Margaret Cheney Haun.

If anyone knows of any of these people I would appreciate hearing from you. I have a family reunion photo taken abt. 1926-28 and need to find people to try to help me identify the people in the photo. Thanks.
