Heinrich "Henry" Warnecke Family - 1800's

Heinrich "Henry" Warnecke was born in Germany. He had a son named Francis "Frank" Warnecke (28 Apr 1857) who was born in Wallenhorst Osnabruk Niedersachsen Germany and another child, Christian Warnecke, unsure if male or female (born in 1862). I have no date of birth for Henry Warnecke but can guesstimate he could have been between the ages of 20 and 50 making him born between 1807-1837. A genealogist gave us the name of Mary Anna Schwalenberg (born about 1837) as Henry's wife. A cousin discovered the name of Regina Hannover as Henry's wife from death records. I've been unable to locate any information about Henry Warnecke, or either of the wive's names that have been given to me. Anyone with information, please reply to this thread.

Henry Warnecke's son, Frank Warnecke came to the U.S, in 1875 at the age of 17. He married Mary Adelheid Revermann (21 Aug 1865 - 10 Dec 1890) on April 21, 1885. Together they had 3 children, Mary (15 Jan 1886-15 Jan 1886), Ben Warnecke (01 Mar 1888 - 08 Aug 1972), and Catharina (Dec 1890 - 24 Jul 1891)and lived in Clinton County, Illinois. Mary Adelheid Revermann died 10 Dec 1890 as a complication of childbirth (from Catharina)

On 17 May 1892, Frank married Mary Elling (also spelled Uling). Mary Elling was born 26 May 1870 and had 6 children with Frank: Henry, Elizabeth, Theodore, George Henry, Frank J., and Herman. Together they also raised Ben from Frank's previous marriage.

If anyone has information or photos for any of these individuals, please respond to this thread. I have photos of most of these people with the exception of Henry Warnecke, Mary Anna Schwalenberg, and Regina Hannover.

Frank Warnecke - Amelia ??

Hello,

I'm looking for any information on a Frank Warnecke who was my ggg grandfather. My info. is sketchy at best so I'm taking a shot in the dark and hope I find somebody with answers : )

Frank was married to somebody named Amelia (or Armella). They had 7 children: Mary, Anna, Elizabeth, Jake, Johnnie, Catherine, and Carrie all born in the late 1850's to mid 1860's. Anna married Frank Kerkenbush (my gg grandparents). There seems a to be a discrepency of how the last name was spelled; it could be Warnecke, Warneke, or Wanaker. If there is anybody out there who can help, I would greatly appreciate your expertise.

Thanks,

John Lory

Hi All,
My great-grandfathers sister Selma Andersson left Sweden unmarried and came to the US 1911. The Swedish papers on her emigration says "destination Boston, MA" although I do not know if she ended up in Boston after arriving in the US.

When searching ancestry.com on "Selma" and "13 May 1879" the only hit I got was "Selma Warnecke".

I have (what could also be a clue but it might not be) a Christmas card sent to my great-grandfather from a "Florence Chase" that could be Selmas daughter. It says:

"Dear Uncle Adolf, Walter and I moved to a nice location overlooking the ocean about 40 miles from Riverside. We are now much closer to the University of R.I. where Walter works. He retired from the Police work where he worked for 23 years. He is now doing photography in research in the College of Pharmacy. We´ve been very lucky weatherwise. No snow as yet but looks as if we´ve have some for Christmas. We hope that you are feeling well and that you will enjoy a blessed holiday season. Love Florence."
There is no date on the Christmas card. The return addresses says "Saunderstown, Rhode Island".

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you think if you know anything about the people mentioned above.

Best regards
Anna

Henry and Robert Warnecke families

Henry Warnecke was born in Brighton, England approx 1830. He was a soldier in 14th Regiment of Foot 1850s and 1860s; he saw service in Ireland, Canada, Mediterranean, India, New Zealand and Australia. He settled in Australia in 1860s. We are still researching Robert Warnecke's route to Australia. Does anyone know of this family in England? Are we related to any other Warneckes out there??

WARNECKE

Well once again I will post some info that maybe someone out there might read and know something about? Looking for anyone that might know anything about John Warnecke who married Doethea Hein I have no birth, death or a marriage date for either of these two. I just know they were born in Germany. They had 1 child that I know of my Great Grandfather Henry Chris William Warnecke born in Germany I believe 5/12/1865. He married my Great Grandmother Anna Caroline Wells in 1899. She was born 6/28/1862. They only had one child that I know of Olive and once again no birth record for her. They then adopted my Grandfather Arthur Warnecke from Salmon Idaho and there is nothing to prove that except word of mouth. :( He married my Grandmother Thelma Paull and then came my father William John Warnecke 7/26/41-10/26/99 an only child. We are in desperate need to find someone on the Warnecke side as we know noone. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME!

OMG!! I clicked on this thinking there would be NO ONE here since our family name was changed when someone (sorry I have to check with my mother to find the name) came over here from Germany (then prussia?)many years ago. His back was broken by a horse rolling over him during a war and he was captured by the enemy. His back healed but he didn't stand upright completely. (This from my memory of what my mother has told me as a child)

Anyway, my father is William Patrick Warnecke, son of William and Cora May (Ward) Warnecke from San Fransisco area. He has one sister. I am one of his two daughters and I have two sons and one daughter. So, any relatives out there?

My letter was handed down from this person who was elderly to a younger reative and her name was Heidi She saidd Heidi that her great grandmother and my great grandmother were sisters. But the thing that was interesting was that my relatives had related to me that my Great Grandmother was the daughter of the Kiaser of Germany. I have yet to really confirm this information. Far as I know she came over here and married a person named Paul Henne and had a half bother to my grandfather Alexander Warnecke. My family seems to be from the Iowa Watugua and Moline and Davenport area. Do you have any family from that area or from the Werdole area in germany? Happy Hunting Bonnie

Fritz Warnecke

Seeking info on parent/siblings of Fritz Warnecke b. 1828 Heersum, Germany; d. 1880 St. Louis, Mo. Married Mary Uhe in St. Louis; she was daughter of Christopher Uhe probably also of Germany. Fritz's passport indicated he was weaver or tailor. Family story indicates there were barbers also in family either in St. Louis or possibly Belleville, Illinois.
Please e-mail me at ladytq@aol.com if you have info that would help me. Thanks, Beverly
