I look at the above post and note that I said Robert Lay instead of children of Robert Warnick. Anyway, I had an e mail from some library pointing me to "The History of Macon County Illinois". I had read that earlier and the father of Robert was William the first lawman in Macon County, Illinois. I thank the person who e mailed the information. Rootsweb world connect also contains that information. However, I still would like information on the children of Robert Warnick. Did most of them die at an early age? Are there any descendent still alive?
