"My" earliest known Warnock ancestor was a farmer William Warnock who was born in Lanarkshire circa 1791; married Janet Fleming and lived at Coltston(e) farm, Maryhill, near Glasgow, Scotland (parish of Cadder in the county of Lanarkshire). In 1850 my g-g-grandfather Andrew Warnock married Elizabeth Alexander and they moved to Bearyards farm, Cadder (Lanarkshire).

I have researched these Warnocks and would be happy to share my information with anyone with an interest in Warnocks from the parishes of Cadder and Barony. Excepting my own close family I have only managed to make contact with one other cluster of descendants (in New Zealand) but there must be many other descendants of this farming family now scattered across the globe.
