I ran into a WASDEN cousin at the 2006 Genealogy & Family Heritage Jamboree in St. George, UT this weekend.
He explains that Thomas & Mary (Coucom) Wasden's house in Scipio, Utah is still standing. This couple is one set of original immigrant ancestors for me. I descend through their youngest child, Eliza Marie WASDEN who was born in Gunnison, UT 13 Oct 1862.
The man I spoke with descended through another child, Frederick WASDEN who was born on 22 May 1846 in Aston, Beighton (not sure if this is Derbyshire or Yorkshire, England.)
NOW, you KNOW I am planning a trip down to see this before I leave for Florida this year.
