Surnames: Waters Watters Walters Rue
I am trying to find out information about Elijah Waters/Watters, born about 1767 or 1757 in VA. Married to Nancy Rue from Ireland. He married again later. Also, one source said that his father was Elijah Collum Watters. Someone else said his father was a Walters, but the dates don't match. I can't find this anywhere. Appreciate nay help someone could give. It seems like the Waters I am researching came to VA very early, some of the first immigrants. Thanks for any insights anyone might have.
