MUSCATINE, Iowa - Lloyd Waters, 95, formerly of 117 W. Third St., died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at Unity Hospital.
Services will be at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Swanson of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Pallbearers will be Cory Bates, Bill Hopp, Ron Streger, Lee Waters, Rod Waters, Keith Kramer and Dave Darrough. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Building Fund.
Mr. Waters was born on Oct. 6, 1905, in Hazelton, the son of Frank and Laura Anson Waters. He married Myrtle L. Hall on Dec. 1, 1923, in Muscatine.
Mr. Waters drove a truck for Magnus Laundry for approximately 30 years.
Survivors include two sons, LeRoy Waters of Muscatine and Lauren Waters and his wife, Marceline, of Easley, South Carolina; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; and a special friend Hallie Schenkel of Muscatine.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Myrtle, in 1993; one son, Lysle, and two grandsons.
