I am from Newfoundland, Canada and researching my family history beginning with my father’s side (ie. the Watkins side) but I seem to have come up against a brick wall. The farthest I can get in my family tree is a Robert and Mary Watkins who were likely born in the late 1700s, early 1800s. I read on the message board that Robert and Mary immigrated to Newfoundland from Liverpool, England.

Their known children according to Parish records were Abel, Hester, and Hugh Francis. Abel was baptized in Twillingate, Newfoundland in Nov 1820, Hester in Mar 1823, and Hugh Francis in May 1823. Due to the fact that only 3 children were listed in the Parish records, I suspect that Robert and Mary may have come to Newfoundland between 1815 and 1820 with other children who were likely born in England.

This is all I have to go on right now, so if anyone could tell me anything else about Robert and Mary or has any other helpful hints I would appreciate it so much. Thanks!
