Surnames: Watlers and Dixon
Hi
I live in Denmark, but my dad's from the Cayman Islands and we've got several Watlers in our ancestry.
I would really appreciate any help on both sides of the familytree, i.e. Dixon and Watlers.
We believe the 'first' Watler came from Ireland, his son Joe Watler married Sara nee Rankin, one of their sons Manson (Manny) died in 1905 was married to Jessie nee Jackson and she died in 1933. One of their daughters (my grandmother) Lilly Verbena married captain Bonnie Herman Dixon of Cayman Brac. His father was Henry Van Buren Dixon (died 1951)and he was married to Annie who died in 1962. Henry's father was Ephesus Dixon.
I look forward to hearing from you.
