I am trying to find information on my biological father named Robert Watson. All I know about him is that he worked for Marconi Underwater Systems, in 1984 he traveled to Cape Canaveral, Florida for a short time with his job and then returned to Scotland. He would be around 41-48 years old now. I attached a picture taken of him around March 1984. Any help would be very much appreciated! Thank you!

William Riley (Watson) Pace

I am searching for information on William Riley PACE (b: DEC 1853, TN). He was born William Riley WATSON. My great aunt recently told us that he was not related to the PACE's but that he just "wandered" in one day and the PACE's took him in and raised him. I do not know how old he was when this happened. The general area would be northwest GA, northeast AL or southeast TN. Any information on his adopted parents (PACE) or his birth parents (WATSON) would be appreciated. Wm. Riley PACE married Nancy Emmaline WOOD (b: 15 APR 1842)from Roane County, TN in 1878.

Watson Dublin

Hi

I have just found what I hope is my G.G Grandpa on the 1911 census of Dublin.
He was Henry Watson aged 80 and listed as a retired Heraldic Artist. Listed as living with two daughters, Martha and Helena (unmarried at ages 38 & 34). It also states that he was a widower. If this is my G.Grandfather his wife would have been Ellen (nee Rowan).

My G. Grandma, Mary is also his daughter - her birth cert shows Henry as an artist. At the time of the census she was living in Barnet, England and married to William Henry Ayres/Eyres.

I know that they originated from the Drumcondra area of Dublin but I cannot find anymore information regarding Henry or if indeed this is my Henry.

What I would love to know is if there are any relatives with Henry Watson / Ellen Rowan in their tree or if anyone can shed any light on this.

Many thanks!

Watson

Looking for family of George Watson born 1868 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Son of Alexander R and Linda ? Watson. Alexander was born in Pennsylvania. George had a sister Saluda(Luda) born in 1874. I feel mother died either in childbirth with the daughter or shortly after. A housekeeper/common law wife raised them her last name was Morton. After Alexanders death their was a legal battle over whether she had a legal right to property as his wife.
I have old newspaper articles on the dispute. Would like to find someone who knows what happened to both George and Saluda. I am descended from Alexander's father Alexander and his second wife Sidney. Alex Jr. is son to Alexander and first wife Charlotte. Anyone who can give me any additional information it would be greatly appreciated. My friend is letting me post this. I can be reached at ellemae2@zoominternet.net or maddasaudreyc@yahoo.com would like to exchange info
Thanks
Audrey C Watson Maddas

David E. Watson: Hamburg, Ashley County, AR, 1918 - home photo

I am in no way related to this family, so I cannot answer any questions you may have. I simply saw this in a local paper and thought it might help a fellow researcher. Hope it helps you!

Here is the caption from the photo:

"Hamburg, Circa 1918"

"Located at 300 N. Cherry St. in the Ashley County seat, this two-story, white-column structure was the home of David E. Watson, owner of the local hardware store. Today it houses the Ashley County Museum. The brief message penned on the card's border reads, 'I got your postal this morning. I wrote you a letter just as soon as I got yours nearly and forgot to mail it.'"

This was published in the Arkansas Gazette: Arkansas Postcard Past, P. O. Box 2221, Little Rock, AR, 72203.

The 1850 census for Butler County, Ohio includes the family of John (35) and Martha (21) and Eliza J. (11 mos) Watson. I believe Martha was a Symmes. Also in the household are two children who do not appear to belong to John and Martha. There is a 14 year old, Joseph, whose last name I cannot make out. And then there is 8 year old Rosilla Galdden. I would like to know who Rosilla's parents were. Can anyone help?

Joseph Watson of Napanoch, NY

My great-great grandfather, Joseph Watson, was born in Napanoch, Ulster County, New York circa 1866. At least in his early years, he was a laborer. He was married to Mary Gordon of Olive, New York. They did not stay together for more than a few years. I have no idea if they divorced or just merely separated. She ended up moving by herself and one of her daughters, Lena (Watson) Halyburton, to New Londond Connecticut. Another daughter, Florence Watson, was given away to another family and ended up in California. If anyone has any information on Joseph Watson, or this famiily in general, any help would be greatly appreciated.

George WATSON died in 1836 and Susanna and her kids emigrated to NY abt. 1851. Margaret married someone by the name of GAINEY James was married to Jane PORTEOUS in the 1833s and they had a daughter, Elizabeth Smith WATSON.
Thomas, Annie & Joseph Watson

I am looking for any information on my Grandmother Annie Dunne nee Watson brother Thomas. Thomas and Annie are believed to have been born in Liverpool between 1920 & 1924 - Thomas was the elder to Joseph & Jenny Watson nee Dunne. (I have been unable to find their birth certificates)

Joseph is beleived to have been from Athlone, Ireland and in the miliary 'Black and Tans' has been mensioned within the family and Jenny was from Clonsast area of Ireland.

Jenny was left destitute in Liverpool with her two children and took them back to Clonsast to be reared by her parents Thomas & Annie Dunne, then returned to Liverpool to work and send money home for their upbringing. When young Thomas Watson was about 17 he returned to England and worked as a postman, possibly in Liverpool or London.

My Grandmother Annie and her mum Jenny tried to trace Thomas (Tommy) but never found him or saw him again after he left Ireland. We know he married and had a least two children as an uncle Ned Dunne kept in contact with him for a while. Jenny married again later in life to Frank Phythian. Joseph Watson the father is believed to have drowned, but we have no further details on him.

If anyone can help with the search of Thomas Watson or his family, my family would love to be re-united with them.
Tricia
Lovie Watson and Thomas Martin

Lovie Watson 11 oct 1892 till 5 jul 1974 passed away in walton co.,fl. She married Thomas Martin they had three children Ambers 24 jun 1917 - 2 dec 1980 (Fl)who was my grandfather,George William 14 mar 1914-8 nov 1973 (Fl),and Mattie birt abt.1913 who died at an early age.I know Lovie had 2 brothers Mac (Tavaries,Fl)and Mann (Mississippi)who were still living in 1974.I think Mann was born around 1900 and passed away in mar of 1982 in Mississipi. The only census I can find linking Lovie and Thomas together is in 1920 in Gaskin,Florida which names Tom age 33 which would mean he was born abt. 1887,Lovie age 22 or 27 hard to read,Mattie age 7,George W.age 5 and Ambers age 2 and 2/12.The next census I found was for 1930 in geneva co.(Hacoda)al,Listing a Susie Watson(66) as Head and widowed and a Lovie Martin daughter,Dollie Watson daughter (21)George Martin (16)grandson,and Ambers Martin(12)grandson.I think Lovie's father was a Ben Watson.I know that Lovie and Thomas divorced and he married 1 or 2 twice after their divorce,it is also believed he was married once before he married Lovie.I would like to find out more info on Lovie and her parents and siblings and on Thomas's parents and siblings. If anyone can help me please i would appericate it very much.I have been looking since 2007 and keep hitting a brick wall.I know that Thomas Martin had children by the other women he married and that one or two of them married into the Hughes's family living in or around Florala,Al.Thomas died in 1964 in a little community called lakewood or something like that in Florida.I would just like to find info on his parents and siblings. Please e-mail me if you have information or know where i might find some information.Thankyou tmmyhlh@yahoo.com

I am searching for information/relatives of David Watson who was born in Western Australia in 1915. David married Elsie May Nichol in 1941 in Corbridge, Northumberland, UK whilst serving with the army. His father is shown as Donald Watson, a forestry worker living in Manjimup, WA. Elsie emigrated in 1945 & they settled in the Perth area. I believe they had no children but did adopt a daughter. Elsie died in the mid/late 1970's & David & daughter came to UK to visit Elsie's family.
Only real information I have is from marriage certificate so any help would be appreciated to get through this brick wall.

Hi. I recently spent some hours at the Guildhall in London researching details/connections for my WATSON families from St Giles, Cripplegate in Middlesex, England.

I created a pdf file with baptisms, marriages, burial data for these WATSON families; various dates from c1811 to about 1846.

Can't attach the file because it's a .pdf file.

However, if you have interests in WATSONs from this parish, or nearby parishes in the East London area, check out the new East London Family History group; URL - http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/EastLondonFamilyHistory/

File is uploaded there in the Files section - along with other, similar files and links to a map of the area.

Interested to hear from other WATSON family researchers from St Giles Cripplegate or surrounding areas.

He was living in Union Point, GA in 1880 and is believed to have died in Augusta GA between 1900 and 1910. The earliest record that I have found on Marcus is the 1850 census for Walton Co.
Charles Watson of Sittingbourne, Kent, England

Has anyone any info on my genetic G/Grandfather,who married Dorcas Victoria Alice James in 1899?
He states his age as 25,and that his father is Caleb.I have yet to find any birth documents of him, or Census material, except the 1891 Census when Charles is at Barracks.I do not believe that Caleb is his biological father(perhaps a close relative?). By 1901 Census, Charles & Dorcas have a son, named Caleb & Charles is not recorded, but Dorcas is now living with her 'Father-in-law. I cannot find anymore info on Charles & it appears he has disappeared. Could he have gone abroad and started a new life?
I am desperate to hear from anyone who may have any clues!

His father was born in Virginia, his mother born in Kentucky. He and his wife had three boys George Ezra, Bert, and Arnie.
They migrated to Kansas where they moved around eventually settling in Humboldt,KS.Both George and Mattie are buried there. I don't know enough about their children to find any further information for any of them.
Any information or help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciate.

Had one daughter named Patricia, born about 1925 in Richmond County, NC who attended the University of Charleston, SC. She married a Watson (non-related) and moved to Ohio, where she died of cancer.
