In 1980's my mother researched Hartsons and wrote a biography. Her information has been used by many. I found Ann Wattson and your aunt Dorinda sometime in 2003/04 and mailed a copy to them. If you want to read it and can't get a hold of a copy, contact me. Do you know much about Zephaniah Hartson?

I'll work backwards: Ann Curtis Watson is the daughter of Harriet Ream and Charles Curtis. Harriet is the daughter of Minnie Guernsey and Fred Ream. Minnie is the daughter of William Hartson and Sarah Miller. William is the brother of my relative Darius Hartson. I have info on Ann's family but would like to be up to date and I have a gap in the Hartson line at the 1790's time frame.

Nice to catch up with another veteran from my ggf's regiment... I host a website for the Fifth Iowa Cavalry (and the Infantry too). I actually already have a bio page for George: http://scriptorum.org/c/p/watson.html but I would very much like to learn more about his military service. I don't suppose that the family possesses any photographs or any primary source materials (e.g. letters, etc)??? Would love to hear from you sometime soon.

Thank you for the response on George F Wattson. Your great, great grandfather is a part of a research project to identify and research all Civil War veterans who had lived in Worth County, IA before/after the war.

I have found some additional information on his wife, Felixine and her family, the Wardalls. However, I would welcome any information on George's ancestry, his life and their children.

Violet
