WAWRZYNEK - Joseph B. Wawrzynek, 63, of North Tonawanda, Thursday (February 13, 1986) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Wawrzynek was a W. W. II Navy Veteran and a member of Amvets Post #26. He retired from the Carborundum Company in 1984 and was a member of St. Joseph R. C. Church.
He is survived by his wife, Alice (nee Kuczkowski) Wawrzynek, a son, Joseph T. (Sandra) Wawrzynek and a daughter Cynthia L. Wawrzynek, both of North Tonawanda; two grandchildren, Erik J. Wawrzynek and Karen J. Wawrzynek; four brothers, Frank, of Cheektowaga, Chester (Lottie) and Edward (Adele), both of North Tonawanda and Richard (Ruth) of Amherst; two sisters, Mrs. Stanley (Emily) Jasinski and Mrs. Thaddeous (Jane) Dobosz of Cheektowaga. He was the son of the late Andrew and Caroline Wawrzynek and brother of the late Adele (Joseph) Lucewicz.
Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda this evening from 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A wake service will be held at the funeral home Friday evening at 7:45 p.m. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. from St. Joseph R. C. Church. Entombment in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum.
