Looking for parents/siblings of Joseph Wayman born either Iowa or Indiana ca. 1830. Joseph married Anna Rebecca Jacobs in Clark Co. Indiana, 1855. Joseph and Anna are buried in Clark Co, Indiana also. Their only child, Charles Edgar Wayman born 1857 in either Indiana, or possibly, Iowa. The death certificate of one of Charles Edgar's daughters, lists his birthplace as "Melrose, Iowa." Other family stories also mention Iowa but I cannot find a link between our Joseph & Charles Edgar Wayman and any of the Iowa Waymans. I've found a few Joseph Waymans in the census data in Iowa, but not sure if it's the same. Does anyone know those Iowa Josephs? Was the Iowa Wayman clan the same group that went west to Utah? Any data would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
