I know this is an old thread, but my mom's first cousin married Frank Wazlavek in Ohio. I posted a picture of two his sons that came out of the family picture box.

Pat,

I understand you've been communicating with my sister-in-law, Laura Bjorkland. Laura has some information, but I've been working on the family genealogy off and on for several years.

I'd be happy to exchange data with you. But I have some questions, meanwhile. My records don't show my great-grandfather as being name Karl, just Josef or Josef Jude.
Your information may be more accurate, because I don't have any real documents, just family info.

Do you know what village/country he was from? What year he immigrated? We found the Ellis Island info that indicates his wife and family came over in 1900 (at least we think it was them; the surname is spelled slightly different, but the given names and ages are correct).

I would appreciate hearing from you.
