Classification: Query
Surnames: Webster, Hendricks, Naper, Napier
Hello,
My grandmother was Genevieve Webster Hendricks, (1902-1956). She died in Downers Grove, Illinois, and is buried in Naperville Cemetery alongside other Websters. Here's where I get stuck. As my father remembers, she was buried in a family plot, but I can't connect her with any of the other Websters. The only thing my father remembers was visiting his grandparents in Columbia, Wisconsin, and that the grandmother's name was Dolly.
In addition, he seemed to think his mother was descended from the Naper (or Napier) family.
I found a 7 year old Genevieve Webster in the 1910 DuPage County Census, with a father named Nelson H Webster born in Illinois in 1872, and a wife named Mary N, born about 1880. If this is the right line, then Nelson's father is Wesley J. Webster, born in New York, about 1926. Brothers and sisters of Nelson in 1880 were Julia E.B., Edna L., Florence, Bertha V., Lois, Louise, and Leroy D.
After that, I found a Nelson H Webster buried alongside Dorothy "Dolly" Webster in Columbia, Wisconsin.
So I can't get any deeper than Wesley Webster, but I also can't conclude the difference between the two possible mothers of Genevieve Webster.
Please let me know if you know anything!
Thanks, John
