Anne K. Wedemeyer
1921-2006
Anne Kathryn (Johnson) Wedemeyer, 85, of Atwater, Calif., died March 29 in
Merced, Calif.
Mrs. Wedemeyer was born May 21, 1921, to Russell and Mary Johnson in Gering,
Neb.
She moved to Wheatland in 1936.
She graduated from Wheatland High School in 1938. She married William C.
Wedemeyer in October of 1938. She was a homemaker and owned and operated a
ranch near Wheatland for more than 40 years with her husband.
They moved to Turlock in 1980.
Mrs. Wedemeyer was active in the Episcopal Church in Turlock and was a lay
reader. She was the former president of the Turlock Newcomers Club. She enjoyed
bowling, swimming, crossword puzzles and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her children, Clifford Wedemeyer of Cheyenne, Russell
Wedemeyer of Chugwater and William Wedemeyer of Winton, Calif.; 11
grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Wedemeyer; two
grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; and her parents.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at St. Andrew's Missionary Episcopal Church with
The Rev. Ron Shell officiating.
Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
Friends may contribute to a charity of their choice.
Funeral arrangements are in care of Schrader Funeral Home in Cheyenne.
