Surnames: Wedge, Wedger
My father tells me that our family's original last name was Wedger. I'm not sure of the spelling, however. "We-jeer" is how it would be pronounced. He also tells me that the line originated in France.
"Wedge" was a direct result of passage through Ellis Island. Could anyone shine some light on this for me?
