Retired
Services for Frederick L. Wedgeworth Sr. will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tommy Espy and Hubert Rutherford officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Wedgeworth, 88, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, in his home. He was retired after more than 32 years in the U.S. Air Force and served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
Survivors include his sons, Frederick L. Wedgeworth Jr. of Tampa, Fla. and Bobby Tim Wedgeworth of Santa Maria, Calif.; daughters, Maria Papia of Dessert Palm, Calif., Nancy Heiser of Meridian and Teresa Long of Bailey; grandchildren, Ricky, Tony, Christina, Robert, Mike, Steve, Danny, Cheri, Monica and Hunter; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Ann Wedgeworth; and a granddaughter, Lynn Wedgeworth.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
