Classification: Query
Surnames: Weishaar, Whitehair
Greetings, all!
Has anyone out there been able to push beyond the "Bef. 1700" birth year for Johannes (Joannes) Weishaar of Keskastel? That's been somewhat of a brick wall over which I've yet to climb. I may have some evidence to fill in that blank, but want to make sure I'm not duplicating something someone else has already established. Please advise.
While I'm at it, I thought I'd toss this one out as well: Can anyone provide evidence that Weishaars (and in particular, the branch that spawned Johannes of Keskastel) were Alsace natives? Or were they just passing through? To me, this is a point that may lead to forging beyond Johannes.
In case you need further clarification of the Johannes to which I'm referring, John George Whitehair was his son. Johannes is my seventh great grandfather. John George (my sixth) is the first to cross the pond to America.
Many thanks!
