Guido,
My Weishaupt family came from Baden Wurttemberg, specifically from Bonfeld and Schwendi. My grandfather, Philipp Friedrich, born 15 jun 1875 in Bonfeld, my great grandfather, Josef F, born 16 jan 1847 in Schwendi, my great grandmother, Louise Hoffman Weishaupt, born 26 Aug 1852 in Bonfeld. This family emigrated along with other children in 1885 from Antwerp, Belgium, arriving in New York 14 May 1885. They settled in Tremont, Illinois, USA.

I am planning a trip to Germany in 2010 and would love any information you may have on this family.

Henry J. Weishaupt, one of this City's well known residents, passed to final rest last Friday, at 6:45 p.m. at Litchfield Hospital. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weishaupt. He was born in Prairietown and reached the age of
77 years, 9 months and 2 days.

Rudolf Weishaupt who married a Rosa Pasakivica (Passckiewick)
their children were: Robert b aug 3, 1927
Franz b Sept 1929
Hubert b June 12, 1931
Johann b Jan 1, 1934
Maria b. Mar 5, 1938
Also have:
Karl Weishaupt who married Amalia Heunel (Hennel)
Children were Karl b. Jan 1, 1929
Maria b. Dec 24, 1930
Carolina b. Apr 23, 1933
Friedrich Weishaupt married Rosa Brodacz and their children were:
Anna b. May 5, 1932
Rudolf b. June 13, 1936 who was a twin to Laura also born the same day.

Bill, I really wish you would write me at my E-Mail address, which was given in my 1st message. The 1st character in the address, is a small l as in let. This is often very confusing so that's why I'm telling you this. I think that you might like to know that Herman was my mother Naomi's 2nd husband. Whenever I visited them, I usually talked mostly with my mom, so I don't remember ever learning ANYTHING about Herman's family. As I remember, I think that they both worked at Deacones Hospital. There's MUCH more that you might like to learn regarding Herman, but I DON'T want to write it on this public message board. Again, please write me at my E-Mail address. Greetings! I am sorry I do not read German. I was wondering if you have any Weishaupt family members who came to the USA and owned a large HOTEL Chain? I am still looking for which one of my grandfather's brothers went into the US. where are my Grandfather Carl came to Canada instead.

This is an interesting topic, my father remembers his father, Carl Weishaupt, talking about salts. Unfortunately, he doesn't remember to much. I would like to know more because maybe it I recieved a bit more info about it, this could trigger dad's memory.

I would like to ask any other WEISHAUPT/WEISSHAUPT geneaologists to look into their family bibles and/or old letters to see if there are any Canadian Weishaupts mentioned. They could be from Carolina/Lena Weishaupt or Karl/Carl Weishaupt. Rosa Weishaupt or and Anna Weishaupt (married names unknown) One of the later two, lived and died in Edmonton. All the others would have been sent from Yorkton or Melville or Grayson, Sask, Canada.
