Terri L. Welch-December 2, 2001
Lifelong Harborite Terri Lee Welch, 37, of Aberdeen died following a long battle with drug abuse Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, in Grays Harbor Community Hospital at Aberdeen.
Mrs. Welch was born Feb. 5, 1964, in Aberdeen to Floyd L. and Yvonne M. (Genereau) Cornwell. She grew up in Aberdeen and Montesano.
After she was out of school she worked at Burger King, Godfather's Pizza, the Dollar Store and a South Shore Mall latte stand, all in Aberdeen.
She was last employed as a caregiver with Senior Information & Assistance in Aberdeen.
Survivors include her mother, Yvonne Billings of Aberdeen; her father of Shelton; a son, Shawn Michael Cornwell of Aberdeen; two daughters, Monica Lee of Hoquiam and Emily Yvonne Marcy of Aberdeen; a sister, Yvette Corder of Forks; two brothers, John Odegard of Aberdeen and her twin, Floyd Lee Cornwell Jr. of Spokane, and her grandparents, Robert and Alvina Espedal of Aberdeen.
Two sisters died in 1997 as a result of an automobile accident in Puyallup, twins Cori R. Grube and Lori M. Cornwell.
A funeral is planned for 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
The service will conclude at the mortuary. Private inurnment will take place later in Hoquiam's Sunset Memorial Park.
