Am interested in communicating with persons doing research on Samuel G. Wells, b. 1811 Ky and d. in 1887 in Freestone Co., Texas. Have seen entries from several researchers for this man, but they are from 1999-2002 and nothing recent. Specifically attempting to see if Samuel G. might be a son of or otherwise related to Samuel Wells, b. 1775 in Maryland, lived in Jessamine County, Ky., to 1815, then Shelby Co, Ky., to 1822, then to Edgar Co., Illinois. He and his wife Elizabeth had several children living with them according to census, but only one I have name for is Absalom Wells, my gggf, b. Ky 1803. Absalom's parents and sibblings apparently dissappear from Edgar County records in 1830s.
