George F.Wendel married my grandmother Eva Reebe in Cincinnati Ohio Feb. 1918. George Wendel was married to Gladys Wendel (Newport or Covington Kentucky) and they had 2 children he did not divorce her before marrying my grandmother. Glady filed for divorce at a later date which I haven't been able to find any record of the divorce or any record of their children names.
George (my grandfather) father was also a George F. Wendel. One was Franklin and the other was Frederick. Not sure which was which.
My Greatgrandfather George F. Wendel (both georges also spelled last name as Wendell as well) started the WhiteVilla grocery store chain. He had stores located in Newport, Ky., Covington, Ky. and Cincinnati, Ohio in the Over the Rhine area of Cincinnati. He later had stores in Dayton Ohio and sent my Grandfather to Dayton to oversee that region. I believe my Grandfather died in the mid 1950s. I also have reason to believe he might have had a 3rd wife.
I think my Greatgrandfather married Eliabeth Schuetterle.
