I'm searching for information on the origin & immigration of Rosena Wenger and family. She was born 25 Dec 1852/3 in Switzerland (exact location unknown), and census evidence says she came to the US with her parents in 1853. She married John Ritter and they lived in the Helvetia area of Washington County, Oregon - a settlement of Swiss immigrants. There are other Wengers living near the Ritters on the 1900 census who were enumerated to have emigrated from Switzerland in 1853: David (b. Nov 1857) & Christian (b. July 1866). Rosena's brothers? I haven't been able to locate any older Wengers nearby who could be the parents.

There is a posting on familysearch.org with a pedigree for a Rosina Wenger with the exact birthdate born in Hofen, Bern Switzerland. Parents are given as David Wenger & Susanna Linder. This work is not referenced and I have been unable to contact the creator.
