Hi! I'm looking for information on the family of Joseph Wenrich. He was probably born in 1817, but he might have been born as late as 1821 or so. His wife, Anna or Ann was born in July 1824. Her maiden name *might* have been Miller. From at least 1850, this family resided in Selinsgrove or the Selinsgrove area of Snyder County, Pennsylvania.
Joseph and Ann had at least the following children:
1. John – 1843
2. Simon – 1845
3. Joseph – 1848
4. George – July 1850
5. Milton - 1854 m. Josephine ?
6. Robert – 1859
7. McClellan – 1861
9. Lillian? – 1874 (it's possible she was a granddaughter and not a daughter)
Anna died after 1900 and Joseph died between 1880 and 1900. Joseph was a blacksmith. It is probable that there is a family connection to John (or Johannes) Wenrich, who lived in Lower Mahanoy Township, Northumberland County. When John and his wife died in 1859/1860, they left some underage daughters (Catharine Ann, Susannah, and Emma), and Joseph Wenrich was appointed their guardians. Johannes was probably the son of Thomas and Rosina Wenrich. Because of his being appointed his daughter's guardian, I would imagein that Joseph and Johannes are no farther apart then second cousins, possibly first cousins. THey are probably not brothers.
Any information about this family, specifically Joseph's origins, would be greatly appreciated!
