I'm researching some Nonnenprediger's and wondering if ours connect since it is such an uncommon name. I trace back to August T. Nonnenpridger (spelled many different ways) b.1861 Germany. Married Johanna Speckmann b.1865 Germany, on 14 Oct 1885 in Bay City, Michigan.

I am not directly related to the Wenzlaff family, but my family is also from the erra "Colonia the Forgotten" and from Parkston S.D. If no one came forward for the book and you still have it, I would love to have it to read the stories, I have a lot of family still in the area of Parkston and can further check if anyone there knows the immediate family.

I have snapshots behind the Union Hotel and a large picture inside the Union Bar. I believe the girls in the pictures are Peterson's of Muskegon MI, but I don't know where they are or how they are connected to the Wenzlaff family. Does anyone know Who or where this is? The sign the girl is holding says "Union Hotel - Chas. Wenzlaff Prop". I see there is a Charles Wenzlaff in Wayne Co MI in 1910, but I don't know if it is what I'm looking for.
Patti

Hello, I'l looking for a connection to Henrietta Wenzloff who was born in Germany about 1825 died February 9, 1866 in Germany at the age of 41 yrs. 3 mos. and 17 days...she married Gottlieb Ziebarth was also born and died in Germany...they had six children: (1) Wilhelm Christof Ziebarth born Sept 22, 1849 in Stenfen Posen Germany
(2) Lewis Ziebarth b. Germany
(4) Marrie Ziebarth
(5) Emilie Ziebarth
(6) Matelda Ziebarth
There is a possible child Pauline Ziebarth?
I have gotten this information from my husband's grgraunt's journal of recordings of her families. She spelled Wenzloff (Wentlof)

Wilhelm Christof Ziebarth (my husband's direct line) married in 1874 in Garfield Illinois (the all seem to have moved to the USA) This family lived in Varna, Marshall County, Illinois until 1889 when they traveled to Adair County, Iowa (to visit people) then moved on to Funk, Phelps County, Nebraska...
I do have more information on names and dates for this family and am looking for anyone who has this line in their research.
Thanks so much

This message is for Ann Lamb. I believe that Augusta Nonnenprediger was related to my great-great-grandmother Wilhelmina Nonnenprediger (M. Wm Beyer). She was on the same ship with the Beyers when they came to the US in 1858. I have a lot of information on the Nonnenprediger family. I am not sure how Augusta is related, but I know she is.
Look forward to hearing from you
skoller@chorus.net
Susan Koller
Verona, WI

Charles Wenzlaff

I am helping my step-dad research his family. His father was Charles Wenzlaff and was living in Wheeling, Illinois around 1920 -1922 and then Chicago in 1924. He had a daughter Mildred Wenzlaff - B. July 1, 1898. The story is that Charles had a speakeasy in the early day. Trying to find information on this family. Charles had made several trips back to Germany in 1920 - 1922 - and 1924. Found a record of marriage to a Lizzie Stark. Is this a second marriage? Also could Ida Wenzlaff be first wife or sister. Any info or help would be greatly appreciated
