My great,great-grand father Henry Joseph Wessell (Wessel) born in Recklinghausen, Prussia He was a Pvt. in Co. H 11th. Reg't Missouri Cavalry. Mustered-out July 7, 1865 New Orleans, LA. He married Anna Roepka. They had 3 children: Louis. Agnes and Anna( my great grand mother) anna Wessel married John Schroeder and had 9 children: John Jr., Mary, Marie, Frances,Joseph, Ella, Lillian, and Anna (my Grandmother) anna married Clyde Coombes and had 9 children: Elmer, Leola, Harold, Stanley, Florence, Elwood, Harvey, Lester, and Donald (my father) married Flossie Deloris Foushee and had 3 children: Lea, Donna Marie and myself, Jo Ann
