Edwin is most likely correct. I have his obituary and it list his name as "Ed F." His wife's obituary also list his name only as "Ed F." In the obituary of one son its listed as "Edvin F." One of his daughters has "Edwin F." Another daughter has "Ed S." in her obituary, but "Ed F." on her death certificate. Another son's obituary has "Ed F." I've also seen his first name as "Edwen."

"Ed" is most likely a nickname. It's mostly used for Edward. As I mentioned, Edwin is probably correct. I raised the question because of all the variations of his name.
