Classification: Query
Surnames: Westbrook Beard Baird
I have found Leonard and Richard Westbrook in Delaware County, Ohio on the 1820 Census, and am trying to discover if they are related to Kesiah and Elizabeth Westbrook, who married Charles Beard b. 1792 NY and his brother Thomas, possibly a twin.
On the 1820 Census, Charles and Thomas were enumerated as Baird, in Genoa and Sunbury twps, Delaware County with Charles moving to Olive Green for the 1830 and Thomas remaining in Sunbury where he was joined by other family members including his stepfather.
Gideon Beard, father, was in Kingston, Ulster, NY on the 1790 but died before the 1800 Census. Efforts to identify his widow or brother Victor Beard who she married ca 1802 on the 1800 or 1810 Censuses have turned up nothing as yet. Later census records indicate their children were born in NY during 1804-1815.
There are a number of Bairds in Minisink, Orange County, NY for the 1800 and 1810 censuses, but sorting out which lineages they belong to remains a task for the future. My current speculation is that some are related to but not the ancestors I am looking for.
I would appreciate any help that can be provided regarding Elizabeth b. ca 1793 NY or Kesiah b. 1796 NY or PA (one census record lists PA, others list NY as birthplace).
