Surnames: Weston, Adams, Hopkins
I'm a Weston from South Carolina and have some info about the recent history of my family and would love to learn more. I think Plowden Weston was a Lt. Governor of the state of SC in the 1800's. I know some of my ancestor's fought in the civil war maybe Thomas Weston is one such. Someone once told me that "Westons" in England were able to keep thier land after conqueored by William. I believe the "Adams" and "Hopkins" family names are related to Weston. Francis Buckelely Weston was my father and I know in Columbia SC I have relitives til this day as well as in Charleston.
