Thank you. Your imformation is extremely interesting. I also by now have a good deal. If you allow me to communicate directly I'll fill in some more. I can be reached at kirkkey@aol.com

My connection to the Spies/ Weyand family is through their eldest daughter Louise, b. 1855, who married Rev. August Flammann, German Methodist preacher. They were my great grand parents.

I have formal photos of the senior Weyands, my gggrandparents taken in Iowa and I could not figure out what would have taken them to Iowa. Thank you for that link. Do you know where William Weyand came from in Germany/Prussia? My grandmother thought there was a connection to Alsace Lorrraine through Katherine Spies?

George Henry in Buenos Aires. I was missing a great dealof information although I do have his will and a list of all the clubs, etc with medals, cups he was awarded. What would the Auirre property? My family seems to have lost a photo of him with the Prince of Wales. Not sure about the fortune but perhaps he gave it away prior to his death. Not married but do you know of other relationships? Where was he buried?

Please be in touch
