Clarence and Bertha Butler WHACK Obits

Bertha Whack Her life of labor and love ended very peacefully Monday, November 1, 2010. She was surrounded by her children, two grandchildren and daughter-in-law.

Born February 17, 1922 to the late Edward and Dorothy Butler, she worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and U.S. Post Office. She was a devoted and beloved wife of Clarence Whack for 65 years. To this union was born three sons and two daughters. She was a very loving, caring and devoted mother and a foster parent for over 25 years. She was the world's best homemaker to her family.

She was preceded in death by husband, Clarence Whack and one brother, Rev. Harold F. Butler.
She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Clarence (Ethel) Whack, Douglas Whack and Ronald Whack; daughter, Margaret ``Peggy' Whack-Radcliff; daughters, Dianne Badea and Theresa Scott.

A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 12 noon at the House of The Lord, 1650 Diagonal Rd., Akron, OHIO 44320, Bishop F. Josephus Johnson ll, Senior Pastor, Pastor Dennis K. Butts Sr., officiating and Minister Jay Radcliff, eulogizing.

Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
Friends may visit at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 1200 Delos St., Akron, OH 44306.

Clarence Whack . His life of labor and love ended peacefully Tuesday, October 26, 2010. He was surrounded by his children, two grandchildren and daughter-in-law.

He was born May 13, 1919 to the late Mr. John Whack, Sr. and Mrs. Lula Witherspoon Whack.

He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company with 49 years of service and was a foster parent for over 25 years. He was the beloved husband of Bertha Whack for 65 years. To this union, was born three sons and two daughters.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Marsha Whack; three brothers, Mr. Ben Whack, Mr. Leon Whack, Deacon Myer (Annie) Whack, Sr.; five sisters, Mrs Francis Fulton, Ms. Annie Whack, Ms. Hennie Mae Whack, Ms. Ethel Williams and Mrs. Emma Whack-James.

He leaves to cherish his memory sons, Clarence (Ethel) Whack, Douglas Whack and Ronald Whack; daughter, Margaret ``Peggy' Whack-Radcliff; daughters, Dianne Badea and Theresa Scott; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
