William Wharton baptised 20/05/1836 in Great Haseley, Oxon.
His father was also William but i little information on him except that he was born "in the county" on the 1841 Census abt 1818. He married Ann Read 4th January 1836 and died quite young, when and where i have no idea. Ann was listed as a widow on the 1851 census and she remarried many years later to William Bishop.
Going back to William Jnr, He married Elizabeth Adams and they had 13 children, the first one being William Henry Wharton born 1863.
