Looking for information on the family of Jonathon and Mary Coville WHARTON. Jonathon Wharton was born in Fayette County, PA in 1806. He married his wife, Mary COVILLE, in Belmont County, Ohio in 1929. Jonathon and Mary had the following children: Elizabeth b. 1830; George b. 1831; Sarah b. 1835; Louise b. 1837; William b. 1840; Rachel b. 1842; Jane b. 1844; Mary b. 1846; Ann M. b. 1848; Laura E. b. 1850; and Clara Ellen b. 1855. They may have been more children. I know that Jonathon and Mary were living in Muskingum County, Ohio until at least 1855. However, they're gone by the 1860 census. I managed to find Rachel, William, and George in the 1860 census but nobody else. George ended up dying in the Civil War in 1862. William and Jane are listed in the 1870 census for Greenup Twp., Cumberland County, Illinois. William died in Illinois in 1916. Clara Ellen Wharton WILCOX died in Illinois in 1917. I believe Laura E. died in Illinois as well. Elizabeth stayed in Ohio and married Martin Messick. Curious to know what happened to the rest of the family. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
