Female Whitehall married to a Clarke possibly New York before 1888

I am looking at any possible method to gain information on my grandfather Charles Whitehall Clarke. I do not even know his parents' first names or whether he had any siblings. I know his mother's last name was Whitehall and his father's last name was Clarke. My granfather Charles was born in 1888 so I am assuming they were married previously to that date and maybe in New York as that is where my granfather was born. If anyone out there thinks they may have any piece of information I would love to hear from you. Please contact me at katsee12@netzero.com

Please contact me if you have any information or are interested in the photos.

William Whitehall/Whitnall/Whithall/Whitnell?

Hi Mary,

I have been trying to do a Family Tree on the Moloney surname!
My stumbling block has been in determining my Great Grandmother's
maiden name! You mentioned that William had 8 children, could
one of them have been a Mary Alice or Alice? My great grandfather's
name was James Charles Moloney not sure of birthdate but marriage
date from marriage certficate states it was September 14, 1892!
Is there any connection here? James Charles was 21 at the time and
Mary was 18 at time of their marriage according to the marriage
certificate!

Please feel free to email me too! Seems like my great grandmother
couldn't write since she signed with an "x" and it was up to the
person writing the certificate on the name! Wrote it three different
ways on the certificate that is why I'm not sure of the surname!

Have a nice day!

Carole Moloney Hauer

James Whitehall m. Angeline Steele, 1848, Jefferson co KY

Does anyone have any information on this couple who married on 9 Sept 1848? Angeline was the daughter of Stephen Steele and Susanna McCarty. The Steele-McCarty family are one of the collaterals to my direct McCarty line, but other than their marriage I have found no information on the family including their location in any censuses. I have a great deal of data to share with any descendants. Thanks for any help or even clues as to where to look. Jan

This is a duplicate posting - linking to your new email address.

I did a quick "parent search" at familysearch.org and found in the 1881 English census for Barrow-in-Furness, Lancashire

"William Whitehall age 62 born Buckingham England
wife Ann Whitehall age 62 born Northampton England".

The ages would be about right (born around 1819). Obviously, this isn't enough information to confirm that this is the right couple but maybe it will give you some leads!

My interest in the Whitehall family is Sarah Whitehall who married Thomas Larnder in Shipton-under-Wychwood, Oxfordshire in 1747. I haven't found any sign of a Whitehall family in Oxfordshire in that time frame. Please let me know if you find any connection!

My line is Carl Bernstein married Johanna Whitehall. They were both born in Saxon, Germany and died there. They were married in Saxon, Germany and had a son born there, William Bernstein, b. 2-6-1832 and died 8-1913 in Liberty, Jackson Co., Michigan. William Bernstein married Dorothea Werner the widow of John Marks, She was born 2-23-1835 in Wultenburg, Germany and died 6-9-1902
in Liberty, Jackson Co., Michigan. William emigrated to this coumtry in 1854,he first went to Pennsylvania and worked by the month on a farm for two years thence to Ohio, thence to Jackson . After nine years working on various farms , in 1865 he purchased his own property.
I have found nothing of Jojanna Whitehall and would like any information you might have of her or which might lead to her. The only information I did find was a Johanna Whitehall married to Sir John Waller --they had a son William who died 1555----Much too eary a date to make any connection.
Thanks in advance Cordelia

My Greatgrandfather William Whitehall was born somewhere in England in 1847. I am looking for the specific place and date. He came to Canada ca 1863, and worked as a cooper with the railroad, eventually becoming a fireman with the CNR. He married Mary Ellis Cawse in London, Ontario, April 26, 1870. They had 8 children, one of whom was my grandmother Emily Whitehall. He died in London, Ontario on February 19, 1924. His parents were William and Anne, but I have no other info on them. Any new info on this family I would greatly appreciate. You may e-mail me at maryoconnor@eol.ca
Thanks,
Mary
