I am the grandfather of Earl Whitener whose father was William McKinley "Mick" Whitener of Lincoln County, NC. Mick died when Earl was very young of TB. When that happened his wife "Evie Eunice Crowder" moved back from Gaston Co, NC to Lincoln Co. and lost touch with the Whiteners. Years later my grandfather Earl went looking for his grandfather Bob Whitener. Bob apparently had some money and connection with Schwartz Steel in Gaston Co. Grandaddy said he found only his jacket in a Diner one day, and then Bob disappeared and is though murdered.

I cannot for the life of me find anything with Robert or Bob Whitener on it, on any file. I have a picture of his wife Tincey or Tincy Richardson, but cannot find anything on her either. If anyone can help please let me know! aaronmwhitener@hotmail.com
