Oklahoma, Missouri 1900 - 1930's

I am searching for leads to my mother's adoptive family and possibly to her biological family. Margaret Brandon (Hess) Humphrey b. 1930 - born in and adopted from an unwed mother's home in Kansas City, MO. Adoptive parents, Hugh Marvin Hess (VA. & OK)& Juanita Bessie (Brandon) Hess (Pawnee & Bristow, OK). Grandmother's 2 brothers were Roy & Clyde Brandon, convicted criminals. A book, "The Kimes Gang" details that Roy had been married to and possibly divorced from MINERVA REALRIDER and possibly 1 child apprx. 1917. Clyde reportedly was married at one time, also. I have a 'sort of' birth certificate (illegal (?))for my mother from Kansas City, MO., with the names of ELIZABETH & ROBERTA WHITESTONE, indicating birth mother and child. Any support is dearly appreciated. Jill Petronio

Peter: Couple of questions: Where did you find the information on Margaret's ancestors?

I show she had 2 sisters but I only have the married name. Do you know the last names of the sister? I'm trying to match them up.

Thanks for the information!

Well, I'm not sure. Margaret could be my great, great, great, great grandmother or if she did die after the birth of her second child, then I would not be related to her at all by blood.

Do you have any birth, death, baptismal or marriage dates by chance? Anything you can tell me about Margaret? Specifically, she was married to my great, great, great, great grandfather William North. The story is that she died after the birth of her first child Josph and that her husband married a lady named Letizia and had 13 more children. Do you have any information on this?

Many thanks,

Yes, I have found her on my tree. She had a brother Luke who was a doctor of medicine and sisters Elizabeth, Harriot, and Anne. Her grandfather was William who was a bookseller in Dublin, he married Elizabet Wilson. Her great grandfather was Henry who married Elizabeth Harris and great great grandfather was Francis who married Ann. That is as far back as I can go at present.

I don't have specific dates for birth and death for Margaret Whitestone. The dates I do have for her are between 1829 and 1895. She lived before her marraige at Fairfield Estate, Aughrim, Galway County, Ireland and her father's name was Henry WHitestone and was married to a Miss Wade. That's about all I know other than the fact that she had 1 brother Luke and 2 sisters but all I have are their married names.

Hello, I have a Whitestone in my ancestry. Her name was Margaret Whitestone, her husband was William North. I don't have my records with me but she lived at Fairfield Estate in Aughrim, Galway, Ireland and then moved to Northbrook Estate when she married. My leads say she died after the birth of her first child but I am trying to substantiate that.
