For family history I seek information on origins of Philadelphia Whiting, born 1821, perhaps in Hailsham, Surrey. Philadelphia may have been the daughter of Charles and Charlotte Whiting. Philadelphia Whiting Pemble was my gg grandmother. She married Stephen Pemble(probably from Kent), moved to Saratoga Springs, New York in 1844 with Stephen's parents John and Harriet Breakfield Pemble. Later they all moved to Paton, Iowa where she is buried with her husband Stephen and mother-in-law Harriet Breakfield Pemble. Irene Clark-Wolfson.
