Madeline Mary Packard, the daughter of Luther Adelbert and Laura Christina (Heckle) Whiting was born on December 27, 1912 at Albion, NE. She attended elementary school at a rural school near Chambers, NE. In May of 1931 Madeline graduated from Albion High School.
On May 21, 1931 Madeline was united in marriage to Glenn Mervin Packard at her parent’s home in Albion. They farmed around Albion and Petersburg most of their lives. Madeline was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Albion, NE. Glenn passed away in 1960. In November of 1998 Madeline moved to Texas to be near her daughter Mary.
On March 7, 2005 Madeline passed away at the Nocona General Hospital in Nocona, TX at 92 years of age.
She is survived by her son Gary Glenn Packard and wife Barbara of Montrose, CO; daughter Mary Glynda Naeve and husband Paul of Bowie, TX; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 sister Jane Fleek of Chamber, NE; along with other relatives and friends.
Madeline was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn, two infants, and 2 sisters: Florella Meyers and Evelyn Leinhart; 1 brother Delbert Whiting.
