John Whitmarsh, sons Jacob and Dewey

Surnames: Whitmarsh, Fox, Hilsinger
I have been trying to locate information on John Whitmarsh's line. Born about 1810 in Otsego Co., NY, John married first Catherine Hilsinger in NY, then her sister Eleanor. They had several children including Catherine, Jacob, Dewey, Amelia, Frances, Lucinda, Susan and Arthur (most of whom were born in NY state). In the 1840's, the family migrated to Tioga Co., PA.
I have been trying to find the name and line of John's father (in other words who was John's father and grandfather)? June Fox, who last posted here in 2000, probably knew the connection because her ancestor Dewey WHitmarsh was the brother of my ancestor Jacob. However, June's email as shown is no longer active.
