Classification: Query
For those of you who are not familiar with it, The Whitney Research Group is an informal group of individuals interested in the scholarly research of Whitney families around the world and throughout history. It is the collection of Whitney research from dozens of researchers over the last 14 years. There are over 4,700 family groups and 8,000 extracted sources with Whitney information. You can locate information by the name of the Whitney individual, by location, by main Whitney branch, etc. We also have a DNA project if you have a living male Whitney relative and would like to determine which Whitney branch you are descended from.

If you register for a free account on the website, you can easily enter your known Whitney information. We have researchers just waiting for this ad will do their best to connect you into the information we have collected.

Over time I will try to go through the queries here and see if I can answer your questions, but if you'd like to have your question answered quickly, please add all that you know to the WRG website.
