Jimmy Lamar Whittle of Geneva, Ala., passed Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at his home in Geneva, Ala. He was 53.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, June 18, 2004, in the chapel of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Geneva, Ala., with speaker Willie Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Midway Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, June 17, 2004, at the funeral home in Geneva.

Mr. Whittle is preceded in death by one sister, Terry Huffstutler: his father, Houston Whittle: his mother, Evelyn Whittle.

Survivors include sister, Janice fowler: daughter, Shannon Whittle: two sons, Shane Whittle and Eric Whittle: two aunts, Lyndal English and Louise Yarbrough: one uncle, Lee Yarbrough: 10 grandchildren: the mother of his children, Anita Whittle: ex-wife, Debra Haygood: one step son, Bill Haygood: and several nieces and nephews.
