Michael Whooley born in Co. Cork c 1863 was and RIC officer and later Sergeant. His parents were John Whooley and Hanora Murray (from his marriage record). He married Catherine O'Sullivan in Castlemaine Co. Kerry in 1896. They had at least 4 children, some at least born in Boherbue, Co. Cork before Catherine died probably in 1908. Michael retired in 1905 and was living in Shanballymore, Co. Cork in 1911. One daughter Margaret (Mrs. Cahillane) went to the US and died in 1975. Does anybody know where Michael was born or anything about his siblings (if any existed) ?
