      <description>Elizabeth Whooley 1st married John Whooley abt 1776, Botetourt, Va they had 2 children, John c 1777/78 and Rebecca b 5 Jul 1780 Lincoln Co, Ky, 2nd she married David Hogan on 12 Jan 1786 Lincoln, Ky. they had 8 children. &lt;br&gt;David was brother of Prosser Hogan who married Elizabeth's sister Mary Whooley, d/o Christopher &amp;amp; Libby Whooley. &lt;br&gt;David &amp;amp; Elizabeth had 8 children that I have found, could be more.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Davd b 2 Oct 1759 Orange Co, Va and died 22 Feb Carter Co, Ky. s/o Jame Hogan&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Elizabeth b abt 1760 Botetourt, Va and died aft 1860 census dated 13 Jun 1860 Boyd Co, Ky&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Mary &amp;amp; Prosser Hogan are my gr gr gr grandparents&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Norma Ooley Herman &lt;a href="mailto://nlherman@sbcglobal.net"&gt;nlherman@sbcglobal.net&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>

      <description>SISTER LEONARDI WHOOLEY, CCVI, died at Villa de Matel Center on &lt;br&gt;Thursday, December 10, 1998. Sister was born on October 9, 1917, the daughter &lt;br&gt;of Patrick Whooley and Mary Buckley of Co. Cork, Ireland. Sister &lt;br&gt;entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word on &lt;br&gt;July 2, 1933, and made Final Profession of Religious Vows on June 6, &lt;br&gt;1945. Sister served as Accountant and Director in the business offices of &lt;br&gt;many of the Congregation's institutions, namely St. Theresa and Hotel &lt;br&gt;Dieu Hospitals in Beaumont, Texas; St. Joseph Hospital in Houston; St. &lt;br&gt;Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Arkansas; and St. Mary Hospital in &lt;br&gt;Galveston, TX. She served as Hospital Treasurer for St. Frances Cabrini &lt;br&gt;Hospital, Alexandria, LA. Sister is survived by three brothers, Diarmuid and &lt;br&gt;Tadg Whooley of Co. Cork, Ireland, and Patrick John Whooley of Dublin, &lt;br&gt;Ireland; and three sisters, Sister Frances Therese Whooley, CCVI, of &lt;br&gt;Nassau Bay, Texas, Sister Ann Whooley of Co. Cork, Ireland, and Sister &lt;br&gt;Rita Whooley of Chesire, England. Wake Services will begin at 5:00 pm, &lt;br&gt;Friday, December 11, 1998, at Villa de Matel Chapel, 6510 Lawndale &lt;br&gt;Avenue, Houston. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, &lt;br&gt;December 12, 1998, at Villa de Matel Chapel. Interment will be in the &lt;br&gt;adjacent Convent Cemetery.&lt;br&gt;</description>

      <description>Anoque Mundi 6004 {anoque Domin' 2000}&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Elizabeth "Betsy" Whooley whom wed to David Hogan,&lt;br&gt;was perchance the Daughter of William Whooley, one and &lt;br&gt;the same with, the William Whooley whom provisioned, the &lt;br&gt;American Colonists, during the Independence period and is&lt;br&gt;thus recalled, as one of the Colonial Patriots, of that era.&lt;br&gt; Elizabeth Whooley and David Hogan are mentioned briefly in a &lt;br&gt;few of the early, and scarce references of that period.&lt;br&gt; Allthough she - Elizabeth - is of then mentioned as "Betsy" Whooley.&lt;br&gt; Their Daughter was Mary Polly Hogan whom wed to John Lovejoy&lt;br&gt;of Maryland.&lt;br&gt; Elizabeth Whooley was my g'_g'_g'_g'_g'_Grandmother.&lt;br&gt; What is missing are the detail data and info' of the certain&lt;br&gt;ancestry of Elizabeth "Betsy" Whooley and also of David Hogan&lt;br&gt;her husband - my G'_G'_G'_G'_G'_grandFather.&lt;br&gt; I am,&lt;br&gt; most modestly&lt;br&gt; S' E' M' D'&lt;br&gt;</description>
